We, a group of retired and highly experienced engineers and scientists from the Apollo, Skylab, Space Shuttle and International Space Station eras, have volunteered our time and effort conducting an objective, independent assessment of the AGW alarm and reality of the actual threat. We have reviewed hundreds of reports and technical papers relevant to the subject matter, and discussed key issues with experts on both sides of this controversy. We need to give you a word of caution when we refer to “NASA.” The TRCS Research Team was founded by engineers and scientists retired from the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston. We sometimes arrive at conclusions about climate change and its effects significantly different from conclusions published by other NASA Centers.
During our pioneering years in the US manned space program, scientific controversy over complex technical issues was commonplace at numerous times when NASA needed to make critical spacecraft design and operational decisions affecting safety of astronauts. We have unique skills and experience in problem identification, specification, root cause analysis and rational decision-making applicable to public policy decisions related to the AGW concern.
Forgotten in this story is that CO2 is a gas of life, the raw material converted by photosynthesis into plants that feed and shelter animals, including Homo sapiens. Nature annually emits over 770 billion tons of CO2 from plant decay and ocean outgassing, and it takes up a similar amount by the biosphere and oceans; this is the carbon cycle. It turns out that only half of the 33billion tons of CO2 emissions introduced by mankind remain in the atmosphere; the rest is fertilizing plant growth. The earth is greening, on a path to increase gross plant productivity by 47% circa 2080 from preindustrial times. And plants in a higher CO2 environment need less water. These benefits are enhanced by a longer growing season from the additional warmth. Yet these features are not reflected in social-economic models that have been used to rationalize policy.

It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is,
it doesn't matter how smart you are,
if it doesn't agree with experiment,
it's wrong.

Who we are
The Right Climate Stuff was founded in 2012, and since then, our team of highly skilled and experienced researchers has been serving all the seven continents, including the South Pole. Our first letter of recommendation was sent to the U.S. House and Senate in May 2013. We published our analysis reports in February 2014 and our letter of recommendation with a full report to President Trump in May 2017.

Our Research Team
Our research team has been in progress since April 2011. We are a group of retired and highly experienced engineers and scientists from the Apollo, Skylab, Space Shuttle and International Space Station eras. We have volunteered our time and effort conducting an objective, if not an independent assessment of the AGW alarm and the reality of the actual threat. We have reviewed hundreds of reports and technical papers relevant to the subject matter and discussed critical issues with experts on both sides of this controversy.

Our Prediction
We are the first research team to resolve the climate change issue with our analysis, which is verified by the scientific method (by comparison with measured data.) This documented report was first published on our website in Feb. 2014, and subsequently extended and updated. We predict that global warming will not increase more than 1-degree centigrade by the end of this century, which is almost negligible.
How It All Started
A group of about 40 Apollo-era NASA engineers had been invited to a ‘Beer & BBQ’ picnic at a retired aerospace engineer’s home in Kerrville, Texas. After enjoying the food and social time, we were invited to listen to a one-hour presentation on climate change, presented by a local geologist, Leighton Steward.
The Theory of Global Warming
His presentation made us realize that the increase in CO2,, a greenhouse gas, in the atmosphere caused by burning coal, oil, and other fossil fuels to produce energy is causing significant global warming. This also causes other major environmental damages.

The Probability of a Solution
The only proposed solution was to eliminate the use of all fossil fuels, which would cause a doubling of the cost of electrical energy with trillions of dollars out of the U. S. taxpayers’ pockets. Also, vehicles, trains, ships, and airplanes would have to be converted to use electricity (more trillions).
The geologist had been studying this issue for several years, and he believed that this hypothesis was false, but he could find no proof. This horrific prediction alarmed some of us into making a formal investigation into the accuracy of these analyses.
Leadership
Jim Peacock is currently the chairman of The Right Climate Stuff (TRCS) Research Team. He spent 21 years with NASA and is well-experienced in climate research. He paired up with Dr. Harold Doiron and assumed the action to initiate the Research Team of NASA retirees.
